Ridge Rambler Half Marathon

The Ridge Rambler Half Marathon is a point-to-point half marathon near Twin Lakes and Bridgeport, California, held on the last Saturday of September. It begins at approximately 7,100 feet on the back side of Lower Twin, with the entire race conducted in mountain air, finishing around 6,600 feet. The race benefits Bridgeport Elementary School, giving it a local school-support purpose instead of a large-city event feel. The course proceeds steadily around the lake before descending from Twin Lakes towards Buckeye Road, located around 6,800 feet. From Buckeye Road, participants ascend a ridge, navigate rolling hills, and reach a peak of about 7,130 feet before concluding at a lower elevation than the start. The start and finish are separated, requiring runners to account for the point-to-point nature; a shuttle service is provided from the finish to the starting area.
