The Run and Walk to Milwaukee Irish Fest is a 5K event in Milwaukee, beginning at Urban Park on East Michigan Street. Runners start shortly before walkers. This community event, held before the festival gates open, includes packet pickup, a Kidzone, Irish dance performances, a warm-up session, and a post-race ceremony.
The course utilizes Milwaukee’s lakeshore path. The event is the longest-running heritage festival 5K fun run. It benefits the Arthritis Foundation, raising funds for adults and children in Wisconsin affected by arthritis. Participants receive a T-shirt, festival admission, and a post-race adult beverage. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers, and a costume contest offers prizes.
