La Tom LaMonica Memorial 5K Trail Run è una corsa in memoria di Tom LaMonica, cofondatore del Genesee Valley Outdoor Learning Center, che proprio quest'anno festeggia i suoi 45 anni. Tom ha creato questo posto per far sì che i gruppi migliorassero come compagni di squadra e di classe attraverso sfide fisiche, puntando su comunicazione, fiducia, perseveranza, leadership e problem solving.
Il percorso si snoda tra boschi, sentieri, campi e stagni all'interno della loro proprietà di 150-acre. I proventi vanno a sostenere un fondo borse di studio per studenti e campeggiatori che altrimenti non potrebbero permettersi di partecipare. Ci saranno cibo, musica e bevande.
