Informazioni su questa gara
The Western Montana Dirt Derby is a flat track motorcycle race held at the Western Montana Fair Grounds, as part of the Western Montana Fair. It brings classic dirt-oval racing to the fairgrounds, with numerous riders competing throughout the day before evening finals attended by over 2,000 spectators. The program also features Keith Sayers freestyle motocross, offering attendees both close racing and stunt riding within a single event.
The racing is divided into specific bike and rider classes instead of a single open category. Open Am permits any displacement, Open Pro is for riders over 16, Vintage is restricted to pre-1980 dual-shock air-cooled machines, Hooligan is for stock-frame multi-cylinder bikes originally over 649cc, and Mad Dog limits entries to 200cc-and-under air-cooled four-strokes. Riders must wear appropriate safety gear, larger bikes require Class C tires, and organizers or the race referee may disqualify participants. The event has completed five seasons of bringing flat track racing back to western Montana, attracting racers, motorsports enthusiasts, local businesses, families, and fairgoers to the grandstand.
