Brunner Pferscherlauf 2026

The Brunner Pferscherlauf is an annual National Day running event in Brunn am Gebirge, a market town in Lower Austria. The start and finish are at Franz Anderle-Platz. The program is designed for local families and regular runners alike: children can participate in the 400 m Bambinilauf or an 800 m race, while the main event is a 6 km run with RFID timing. The day is combined with a Tag des Sports, featuring activities from local clubs like Sportunion, the table tennis club, and the strength sports club. Spectators line the route, with music, announcements, and food contributing to the street atmosphere. Participants range from toddlers to runners in their 70s. Local pride is evident as the fastest woman and man from Brunn are honored, and town officials have also competed in the race.
