Fit for Brain Run 2026

The FIT for BRAIN RUN is an October charity run and walk in Vienna, located at Meiereistrasse 7 in the city’s second district. It provides 5 km and 10 km routes, allowing participation as a short race, a longer run, or a walk. The slogan is "Running for a good cause," supporting stroke awareness and aid for those affected by stroke. The Austrian Stroke Society organizes the event near World Stroke Day, observed later in October. Stroke ranks as the third most frequent cause of death in Austria, following cardiovascular disease and cancer. The race connects to a public-health message: prevention and prompt, effective treatment can lessen severe disability and fatalities. The series has also included virtual editions, registered via v-race.at, extending the concept beyond a single starting point in Vienna.
