The Junior MTB Challenge offers cross-country races for five- to sixteen-year-olds, held alongside most KTM Mountainbike Challenge marathon events. The format is designed for young cyclists, featuring XC courses tailored to each age group. The youngest participants, under-5s, compete in a separate event called the El Miniator. Riders must have a reliable, fully functional bicycle, and helmets and gloves are mandatory.
In Stattegg, the U5 race begins and ends at Dorfplatz. The U7 to U17 XCO races take place at the Hüllbach-Arena. Bikeclub GIANT Stattegg is the organizer, with Jürgen Pail as the contact person. The series ranking is determined by each rider’s time difference to the winner within their specific age class, ensuring fair scoring across different categories. To be included in the overall ranking, a rider needs a minimum of three race results, with the best four performances counting towards the final standings. The top three finishers are awarded trophies, and all participants receive a certificate.
