KLC Adventlauf 2026

The KLC Adventlauf is a winter road race in Klagenfurt, Austria, part of the Klagenfurter Adventlauf. It includes short children’s races of 500 metres and 1,000 metres, and 5 km and 10 km road races for older participants. Age categories range from U8 to U80, accommodating young children, juniors, hobby runners, masters athletes, and club competitors. The 5 km and 10 km races award Kärntner Landesmeister titles, giving the event a local championship status alongside its community race-day atmosphere. The course is officially measured by IAAF/AIMS, entirely flat, asphalted, and closed to traffic. This means a straightforward course without trail sections, climbs, or vehicle interference. The shorter races begin in the morning, followed by the 5 km and 10 km races starting simultaneously. Timing is managed by grabul-timing, a Pentek-timing GmbH partner, utilizing ChampionChip and Green Chip systems; children and students may rent a timing chip for a nominal charge.
