KRONE Erzberg Adventure Days - DIRTRUN & Weekend Warrior Challenge 2026

The KRONE Erzberg Adventure Days DIRTRUN is an obstacle mud run on the Erzberg in Eisenerz, Austria, located within Central Europe’s largest mining area. Participants select 8 km, 16 km, or 24 km routes, entering a working-mine environment constructed around the “Styrian pyramid.” The event takes place in July, a time when conditions often involve warm air, mud, and rain, differing from a typical road race. The course guides runners over the world’s largest heavy-duty trucks, through turquoise-blue mud ponds, and across mining terrain, providing a distinct character compared to a city obstacle run. Thousands of amateur and professional athletes gather in Eisenerz for the weekend. The Weekend Warrior Challenge presents the most demanding option: it merges the 8 km Dirt Run, the AT&S Vertical Iron Sprint, and the 24 km Dirt Run. All three results are combined for a single ranking, determining the Erzberg Weekend Warrior title and a unique prize.
