The Leimüller Silvesterlauf Seekirchen is a New Year’s Eve street run held in Seekirchen, Austria. The start and finish lines are located at Rupertiplatz 1, by the town hall. The primary event is a short, flat city-center course measuring approximately 5.8 kilometers, welcoming both runners and walkers. The Leimüller Racing Team organizes this event as a way to conclude the year through sport, emphasizing the enjoyment of movement alongside performance.
The race maintains a straightforward yet social structure. Adults compete in the main run, while children aged 8 to 12 participate in a Junior Silvester Race. Additionally, groups can form three-person teams for a team competition. Costumes and masks are welcome, with a prize awarded for the most original team attire. A tombola is included for all participants, contributing to the event's year-end community atmosphere rather than a strictly competitive focus.
