Münsterer Silvesterlauf 2026

The Münsterer Silvesterlauf is a New Year’s Eve running and walking event connected to Aurolzmünster and its nearby villages. A jubilee edition attracted 245 participants in cold, windy conditions, with adult runners, children, walkers, and local volunteer groups all part of the program. The results indicate a small community race with genuine competition: the men’s winner finished in 22:58, the women’s winner in 28:14, and the children’s races featured separate girls’ and boys’ winners. The most notable tradition is the fire department participation: 52 members from Aurolzmünster, Forchtenau, and Weierfing walked in full gear to commemorate a fallen comrade.
