RAD-MARATHON Tannheimer Tal 2026

The Rad-Marathon Tannheimer Tal begins at 6:00 a.m. from the municipal office in Tannheim, Tyrol’s Tannheim Valley. This annual July road cycling marathon is for ambitious riders, offering four distance options. The long-course version spans 214 km with approximately 3,500 meters of climbing. Riders must use a road bike or gravel bike. The event attracts thousands of participants, with a cap of 3,000. The finish line is at the same village center, and awards are presented later at the Sägerklause in Tannheim. The 214 km route departs Tannheim via Grän, Zöblen, and Schattwald, entering Germany. It proceeds through Oberjoch, Unterjoch, Wertach, Rettenberg, Immenstadt, Ofterschwang, Bolsterlang, and Obermaiselstein. The Riedbergpass presents a significant challenge before the course continues through Balderschwang. It then re-enters Austria, heading into the Bregenzerwald toward Hittisau. Tannheimer Taler Veranstaltungs GmbH organizes the event. Riders receive a briefing the evening before the race, covering current course details and any late modifications.
