The Vienna Triathlon is a two-day series held on the Donauinsel, a long island in the Danube River in Vienna. Taking place over a September weekend, it offers athletes multiple race options: a sprint triathlon (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run), an Olympic-distance race (1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run), and aquabike and bike/run formats for those wishing to omit one discipline.
The event is known as “The Cult Triathlon” on the Donauinsel, with its race offerings catering to a broad range of participants. Novices can opt for the Sun and Beauty Ladies Triathlon (150m swim, 10km bike, 1.5km run). More experienced athletes may choose the Olympic distance or compete for the King/Queen of Vienna title. Youth and age-group aquathlon races provide swim-run alternatives, and an expo featuring exhibitors is also part of the weekend. P3 Trisports Team organizes the event, with Robert Pscheidl associated with it.
