Wien rund uma dum, also known as the Vienna Winter Trail, is a trail ultra series in Vienna. The main solo race covers 130 km, with additional solo distances of 88 km, 61 km, and 42 km. This variety allows participants to select a trail day comparable to a marathon or a substantial circuit around the city. Relay teams can also compete on the 130 km and 61 km courses, enabling groups to tackle the longer distances alongside solo ultrarunners.
The course is detailed in a course book and indicated by signs. The event is managed as a serious long-distance trail race, providing runners with bib check-in, a participant backpack, drop bags, aid stations extending to the finish, GPS trackers, and set cutoff times. The event's website maintains an archive of news, media, results, certificates, and photographs dating back over ten years, establishing a comprehensive history beyond a typical local event.
