Starting at Collie Cemetery, the course immediately enters the Wiilman Bilya Trail and adjacent bushland, a significant trail ultra traversing Collie's renowned adventure trails. It winds through thick jarrah, marri, and yarri forest, crossing timber bridges and navigating granite outcrops, with the Collie River Valley appearing during ascents. This event is suited for experienced trail runners; it is not a leisurely run.
The route guides participants toward Wellington Dam, which features one of the largest dam murals in the Southern Hemisphere, before concluding at Collie Golf Club. Runners can anticipate technical bush trails, creek crossings, staffed transition points, drop bags, and aid stations. "Spring wildflowers are at their peak" is a noted observation if one has the chance to look up. The support structure is notably robust for a bush ultra, featuring purpose-built adventure trails and one of the most well-supported ultra courses in the South West.
