Sydney Half runs through the CBD, offering runners those rare hours when the usual bustle recedes and the road opens up. It has been held since 1992, and the feel is more of a large local run than a polished event: charity runners, friends, and serious runners move through the same streets in Autumn running conditions.
The course is built around street energy, with the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and Sydney Tower visible along the way. Expect hard city surfaces, on-course entertainment, spectator zones, and the buzz of soaking up the urban atmosphere while seeing those landmarks. Every finisher receives a medal, and many runners use it as a charity effort before heading toward Bondi Beach for recovery.
