The Wheelchair Marathon is the wheelchair division within the ASICS Gold Coast Marathon race weekend on Australia’s Gold Coast. It is held alongside the marathon, half marathon, 10km, 5km, junior dash, and longer challenge events. Separate Wheelchair 10km and Wheelchair 5km races are available for athletes seeking shorter distances. The overall event holds a World Athletics Label and offers prize money, seeded and priority starts, and an Elite Athlete Assistance Program for competitive entries.

Race weekend features start zones, aid stations, personal refreshment options, medical support, road closures, transport information, and a race precinct with spectators, entertainment, and finish-line cameras. Participants can include elite wheelchair athletes, experienced racers aiming for records, charity entrants, and individuals from community groups. The Gold Coast Marathon event also includes an ASICS Sport Leisure Expo, volunteer programs, collectables, medal tabs, photos, a Legends Club, and Bonza, the event mascot.
