The BerenLoop is a local road race in Beernem, West Flanders, held in September as part of the annual fair at the community center. Adults can choose 5 km, 10 km, or 15 km, while children have 650 m and 1300 m races, catering to club runners, casual runners, families, and younger kids.
The routes circle Beernem through the town center and the surrounding Flemish countryside, passing Bulskampveld Castle, the neo-Gothic Saint Amandus Church, and the town hall. ACB Beernem organizes the race, with Ultra Timing handling results. The setup includes aid stations, changing rooms, guarded bag storage, showers, parking, participant gifts, cash prizes for top men and women, and separate youth prizes. The race has a history of over thirty years, beginning as the Baccara Marathon in 1985 and adopting the BerenLoop name in 2005.
