Rondje Bergen begins at Plein 38 in Bergen, North Holland, on the first Sunday of October. This is a small annual running event with a limit of 1,700 participants, intended for children, first-time runners, regular runners, and faster club runners. The program includes short youth races of 1 km and 2 km, along with 5 km, 10 km, and a 10 English mile race of 16.1 km.
The children’s races remain in the center of Bergen, while the longer routes go from the village center into the Bergerbos and the North Holland dune area. Runners will pass old woods, broad lanes, and the arts village’s compact center instead of running on one type of road for the entire race. Stichting Rondje Bergen organizes the event. First aid, an AED, and a guarded cloakroom are available on site. Late registration is not offered, so runners must enter before race week.
