Lozarski Patishta Bike & Run is a two-day autumn mountain-bike, trail-running, and duathlon weekend in southern Bulgaria’s Rhodope Mountains, around Zlatograd, the country’s southernmost city. The event uses the Bulgarian name for “Vineyard Roads,” and it is designed for off-road riders and runners, not road racing: trail runs are offered in 41, 15, and 5 km versions, mountain-bike options include 66, 41, and 15 km, and the duathlon combines a 41 km bike leg with a 15 km run.
The program extends beyond the start line, featuring children’s races, sponsor gifts, a lottery, forest pedagogy, games, a stage, and an evening show. Organizers provide official GPX tracks, suiting the mountain setting and the combination of longer routes and shorter entry points. The race is still developing, with early editions presented as a worthwhile weekend focused on prepared trails, Rhodope hospitality, and a festival atmosphere, rather than a basic timing event.
