Rado BIKE&RUN is a hobby-level mountain bike and running weekend held in Govdarci, a village near the Cherni Iskar River in Bulgaria’s Rila region. Riders compete on Saturday, runners on Sunday, and duathlon participants combine both disciplines over the weekend. Both race days feature a mass start, a technical briefing before the start, and separate award ceremonies for the bike race, run, and duathlon. Camping is available from Friday, making the event function as a small mountain gathering as much as a race weekend.
The start and finish are located near the road bridge towards Lakatitsa, in the area the organizers refer to as Lakatishka Rila. The race is organized by Koloezdaen Klub “Velosamokovtsi” in memory of Radoslav Todorov, giving the event a local-club atmosphere rather than a commercial festival feel. Entries are divided into age groups for 14-18, 18-39, and 40+, with an E-BIKE category for electric mountain bikes. Official GPX tracks are provided, which is significant as the routes consist of mountain trails rather than simple road loops.
