TRI Legend Batak 2026

Tri Legend Batak is a road triathlon held at Batak Reservoir in Bulgaria’s Rhodope Mountains. Racing takes place in July, starting at 08:00. Its main appeal is that it is advertised as Bulgaria’s sole middle-distance triathlon. The main Legend race follows the standard half-distance format: a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km bike ride, and a 21 km run. A shorter Turbo option is also available, featuring a 0.9 km swim, a 52 km bike ride, and a 10 km run. Additionally, a Legend Relay allows teams to complete the full Legend distance together. The race accommodates a broad range of participants, not exclusively seasoned triathletes, welcoming both experienced competitors and novices. The relay category provides teams an entry to the longer course, and the Turbo distance offers a more accessible challenge for athletes not yet prepared for the full middle-distance event. The event receives support from the municipalities of Batak and Rakitovo, with Eco Camp Batak, ASICS, and Precision Fuel & Hydration as partners. Registration is divided into Early, True, and “Late and brave” periods, aligning with the race’s self-proclaimed Legend theme. The practical structure remains consistent: swim in the reservoir, cycle the roads, and run to the finish.
