Ride for Water is a gravel cycling event held in Chilliwack, British Columbia, starting in June. Participants can select from four distances: a 20k for families, a 55k Medio, an 80k mountain-bike route, and a 100k Epic. This variety accommodates both families and cyclists seeking a longer mixed-surface challenge.
The routes utilize back roads, gravel roads, forest service roads, dike trails, and sections of local mountain-bike networks, aiming to keep riders away from traffic. Final routes may change based on spring conditions and land-management approval, and entry numbers are limited. The event also serves a fundraising goal, with proceeds supporting clean water and primary education in rural Southern Ethiopian communities.
