The Kicking PancreAS™ 5K is an evening 5K run/walk held in St. Vital Park on River Road in Winnipeg. It accommodates runners and walkers of all paces, offering a 90-minute course window and a straightforward process: check in, wear your bib, complete the 5K, and receive a medal and event merchandise. The event also aligns with the MRA Youth Series for participants aged 16 and under, providing them a structured opportunity to engage with the community fundraiser.
The race supports Craigs Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society, with participants encouraged to fundraise alongside registration. Proceeds benefit pancreatic cancer awareness, patient support, healthcare education, and Canadian research, with all funds raised remaining in Canada. The Manitoba event embraces a night-run atmosphere, suggesting participants wear purple, glow-in-the-dark items, and costumes. A past edition saw 258 participants and raised over CA$17,200; the current goals are 322 participants and CA$21,500 in donations.
