The Rainbow Trail Run is a June trail race held in Earl Rowe Provincial Park, Alliston, Ontario. All in-person distances are based on a 12K park loop. Runners can select from 6K, 12K, 24K, 50K, or 62K, making the event suitable for novice trail runners and those seeking an ultramarathon composed of repeated laps. Procyon Wildlife presents the race, now in its fifth year.
The route primarily follows double-wide trails with grass and dirt surfaces, including brief paved sections crossing park roads. It encircles Earl Rowe Provincial Park, crosses bridges over Earl Rowe Lake, and remains largely flat aside from a short ascent to the Lookout. The 24K consists of two loops, while longer ultras incorporate four or five loops with minor additions, simplifying course comprehension for longer distances. A 12K virtual option is available for Canadian runners unable to attend in person, including a custom medal and Rainbow Socks mailed to participants.
