The 5K Foam Fest - Ottawa

The 5K Foam Fest - Ottawa is a 5 km obstacle fun run at Wesley Clover Parks on Corkstown Road in Nepean, just outside Ottawa. It takes place in August, with waves starting in the morning and departing every 15 minutes until early afternoon. This is not a standard road race: participants navigate over 25 optional obstacles, including mud pits, heavy foam sections, and a giant inflatable waterslide advertised by the organizers as the world's largest. The course can be walked or run, and the setup is designed for beginners, families, groups, and runners who prioritize the experience over a finish time. Ages 7 and up can participate in the 5K, with children 7 to 12 running with a registered adult; younger children can use the free Kids FUN Zone, which features a mini inflatable obstacle course and bounce house. Spectators can enter the festival area at no charge, with music, food vendors, local vendors, and a beer garden surrounding the race site. The event also supports Make-A-Wish Canada through fundraising connected to the race.
