The Popcorn Run Saskatoon

The Popcorn Run Saskatoon begins at Rotary Park in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, offering three distance choices: the Little Kernel 2k, the Poppen 5k Run, and the Hot Poppin 10k. This event is a relaxed morning run or walk, not exclusively for speedsters. The 10k starts at 9:00, with the 2k and 5k beginning shortly after. The course follows trails and grass, heading east along the Meewasin Trail. Participants will share sections of the public pathway with walkers, cyclists, and other park visitors. Strollers are permitted, and there are no age restrictions, though children 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The popcorn theme extends to the finish line rewards: 2k finishers receive popcorn, lemonade, and a medal; 5k runners get kettle corn and lemonade; 10k participants are given two large bags of kettle corn. The event supports Scouts Canada's No One Left Behind program, which assists with Scouting expenses for children from families facing financial difficulties.
