The Wooly Bully Races take place on Amherst Island, beginning on South Shore Road in Stella, Ontario, at Reta Brown's homestead. The event includes a 5K and 10K for runners traveling to the island, and a 1K youth run for children 12 and under. This race is held in mid-August on the Lake Ontario side of the island. There are different prices for Kingston Road Runners Association members and non-members.
Both the 5K and 10K follow out-and-back courses along South Shore Road, keeping runners near the Lake Ontario shoreline rather than on town streets. The youth race is for ages 5 to 12, making the day more family-focused than a race with only one distance. This is the 15th edition of the series. The Neilson Store Museum and Cultural Centre is a sponsor, connecting the event to Amherst Island's local history and its running community.
