PUMA Toronto Women's Fall 8K/5K
The PUMA Toronto Women's Fall 8K/5K is a road race in Toronto, Ontario, for women, offering 8K and 5K distances; the 8K is also listed as 5 miles. It takes place on a Saturday in early October, serving as a late-season event for assessing fitness, building stamina, or concluding the running season with a distance shorter than a half marathon. The course follows Toronto park paths, with aid stations provided. A Firefighters stop is noted as a popular feature. The race is open to elite runners and first-timers, positioning it as a community event rather than a strictly competitive one. Registration includes a PUMA running hat, a finisher medal, and entry to the post-race gathering.
Run for Burlington 2026
Run for Burlington is a community fundraising race and walk held at Spencer Smith Park in Burlington, Ontario. It benefits Joseph Brant Hospital and its Foundation, offering a 5K run for experienced runners, a 3K run for those new to racing, and a 1K walk for participants who prefer not to compete. The event prioritizes accessibility over pure speed. Families may opt for the short walk, individuals new to running can use the 3K as a starting point, and more seasoned runners can participate in the 5K while fundraising for local hospital services.
TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon
The TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon, held in October, is Canada's largest marathon event. It includes a marathon, half marathon, and 5K race. The marathon and half marathon begin together at 8:00 AM, with the 5K starting at 9:00 AM on the preceding day. The race information does not provide a course map, but the event's focus is on its waterfront setting in Toronto. The marathon and half marathon are sold out, but 5K registrations are still open. Marathon Tours is a participating entity, and TCS serves as the title sponsor.
Wise Raven Trail Race
The Wise Raven Trail Race utilizes a 2.5 km forest loop situated at Camp Heidelberg, the K-W Optimist Club property on Kressler Road in Waterloo, Ontario. Held in October, it provides 5 km, 10 km, 25 km, 50 km, 6-hour, and 6-hour relay race formats, with all participants completing the same short loop multiple times. The event is limited to 115 participants, is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario, and uses electronic timing by Chiptime Results. Remaining funds after operational costs are donated to Run-Walk-Roll for WRHNCC, extending over ten years of financial support for this initiative. The loop begins with a quick, level section alongside the covered aid station, heading towards Camp Heidelberg pond. It then proceeds through mostly maintained trail featuring brief rocky and root-filled segments, along with some gentle inclines. Each circuit adds approximately 45 m of elevation gain, contributing to a consistent effort over longer distances rather than a single strenuous climb. Relay teams consist of 2 to 4 runners who exchange an ankle chip at the start/finish area, with each runner required to finish a complete lap before a substitution. The aid station offers practical, abundant snacks: soda, water, electrolytes, candy, chips, pickles, and occasionally PB&J sandwiches or pie. The race is cup-free, requiring runners to use their own bottles; pacers, pets, and alcohol are prohibited on the premises.

The fundraising goal is CA$2 million, supported by numerous participating organizations. These include Action Against Hunger Canada, ALS Society of Canada, Alzheimer Society of Toronto, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto, CAMH Foundation, Daily Bread Food Bank, Diabetes Canada, Doctors Without Borders Canada, and various other groups focused on disease, disability, food security, children's welfare, and community support.

The race takes place in Boyd Conservation Park, located on Islington Avenue near Woodbridge and Kleinburg. A VIP finish is connected to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. Runners, families, and supporters gather for the event, which focuses on fundraising for children with arthritis. The organization is practical, featuring chip timing, a marshalled course, a staffed water station, nearby parking, and a commemorative finisher medal. The route begins on the main park road heading south, goes under Eglinton Avenue, and incorporates a loop through E.T. Seton Park. Participants come from the Toronto Railway Club’s network, meaning friends, colleagues, and industry partners share the course together.

Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope, Tally in the Valley Trail Race 2026, Sulphur Springs Trail Race, Ancaster Mill Raceあたりがカレンダーの目玉レースだね。
