Berglauf Rinderberg Zweisimmen is an autumn mountain race in Zweisimmen, located in Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland. The primary race covers 12.8 km, ascending from the village to the Adler “Top of Rinderberg” at 2,078 metres. Shorter races of 500 m, 1.5 km, and 2.8 km are available for those seeking a less demanding climb or a family-friendly option.
The course begins with a flat section towards the confluence of the Simme rivers before returning through the village. It then transitions from roads to hiking trails through alpine meadows, offering vistas of the Bernese, Vaudois, and Fribourg Alps. The final ascent has what organizers call “Berglauf-Flow”: a steep climb designed to engage runners with the rhythm of mountain path ascents.
