Gurten Classic

The Gurten Classic’s Classic Run begins in Wabern, heading uphill almost immediately toward Spiegel. This 15 km mountain race features approximately 570 meters of elevation gain. It is limited to 500 participants, with men's and women's categories ranging from U20 to 70+. Entry fees begin at CHF 45. The route crosses the Blinzern plateau, passing the final residences before entering the Gurten and Ulmizberg region. Participants ascend part of Gurten, descend into the Gurtentäli, cross to Ulmizberg, return via Schliernberg, and then confront a sharp final ascent toward Gurten. The concluding 2 km offer mountain vistas and spectator presence.
