Kyburglauf

The Kyburglauf is an annual running event in Illnau-Effretikon, connected to the Kyburg area and held near the end of the running season. It is an interregional race day with options for runners of different ages and ability levels, from ambitious racers to newer runners. The programme includes trail running and stair running, so it is not just a flat road race. Some participants come to race hard, while others use it as a relaxed way to enjoy the Kyburg-Arena. The event has been running for over 40 years, giving it the feel of a local fixture rather than a one-off challenge.
