Urban Trail Lausanne

Urban Trail Lausanne is a night trail race held in Lausanne, Switzerland’s Canton of Vaud, typically in mid-March. Participants can choose from three distances: 10 km with 200 m of elevation gain, 19 km with 500 m, or 31 km with 900 m. Even the shortest route requires more than just flat-road speed. The 19 km distance is the most popular, with the last edition attracting over 400 runners. The course combines urban running with trail segments, natural areas, and Lausanne’s characteristic hills. A key attraction is the opportunity to run through the city at night. Runners pass notable landmarks, gain views of the illuminated cityscape, and encounter sufficient elevation to ensure the longer routes provide a genuine mountain-influenced trail running experience, distinct from a road race with added paths.
