Běh kolem Doubravky

Běh kolem Doubravky is a cross-country race held on a Sunday in November, starting and finishing at Panoráma above Teplice. Participants run in the wooded area around Doubravka hill, with some asphalt sections, meaning it's not exclusively a forest trail. The event offers various distances for different age groups: the youngest children compete in a 100-meter run, women race 1500 meters, the main men’s race covers 4200 meters, and the longest distance is 10,000 meters. The race is among the older Czech cross-country events, established by Ladislav Kořán, who won the first three editions. Its past winners include notable Czech runners like Milan Švajgr, Petr Helmich, and Stanislav Hoffman. Vladimír Pospíšil has been a dominant figure in recent years, with Jiří Miler once interrupting his streak. TJ Hvězda Trnovany and Dům dětí a mládeže in Teplice jointly organize the race, featuring 26 categories that gather children, youth, juniors, adults, and veterans on the same morning.
