Běh mezi mosty is a charity run and walk in Písek, centered on the town's bridges and its Stone Bridge community. The event features 1.4 km, 3.4 km, and 10 km routes, suitable for children, families, walkers, casual runners, and those seeking a longer distance. The entry fee directly supports home hospice care, enabling individuals to spend their final days at home with family.
The event revives a tradition started over a decade ago by Spolek Přátelé Kamenného mostu Písek and Prague Tuesday Club. Domácí hospic Athelas Písek now directs its hospice fundraising efforts, with donations supporting doctors and nurses. The event encourages participation through running, walking, symbolic joining, or creative movement across the bridge, such as on stilts or by rolling. A recent edition reached full capacity before race day, with 1,215 registered runners raising 612,263 CZK.
