The Běh na kamenný stůl race begins in the courtyard of Rataje Castle, located in Rataje nad Sázavou, a village within the Kutná Hora district of Central Bohemia. This cross-country trail race, part of the BĚHEJ ZÁ series, takes place in August. The first category starts at 10:00 AM. Although named the “Desítka,” the main race covers 8 km, utilizing the village’s surrounding terrain instead of a road loop.
The Municipality of Rataje organizes this event, which has developed into a local running day featuring children’s races, additional age categories, and options beyond the primary course. A recent edition saw a record three hundred runners and supporters gather at the castle courtyard. For its anniversary, organizers introduced a pairs category for the main course, where the combined time determines the outcome, though each runner also receives an individual time. Those who register online early can receive commemorative T-shirts, and the medals feature a new design.
