Běh Poodřím begins at the main train station in Hladké Životice, offering 6, 12, and 24 km routes through the Poodří region. This trail-style race, combining roads and paths, is open to all age categories and runs under tree cover within the shade of the floodplain forest. Established in 2015, the event accommodates both shorter and longer-distance runners on the same race day.
The course traces the dikes of former fishponds, heads toward a turning point near Suchdol nad Odrou, and then loops back to the finish. The organizers, whose idea originated from their regular runs, contribute to the event's local character, with the route passing near their homes. The race focuses on the straightforward pleasure of running hard through the Poodří landscape, primarily beneath tree canopies, culminating in a finish the organizers call pure joy.
