Chomutovský půlmaraton

Chomutovský půlmaraton is a running event held in Chomutov, Czech Republic, on the last weekend of August since 2017. The main race is a 21.1 km half marathon. Shorter options include the Kamencový okruh, approximately 8 km, and children's races held later. Zoopark Chomutov organizes the event, utilizing parts of the city's green and leisure areas for the route. The half marathon route passes through the historic center, then extends towards Kamencové jezero, the zoopark, and Bezručovo údolí on the city's outskirts. Participants can opt for the Kamencový okruh instead of the full half marathon distance. The half marathon is also available as a three-person relay, allowing groups to share the course. Children compete in shorter races on the main square. Adults receive annually varied shirts, headbands, and medals, contributing to a local collectible tradition.
