Ledeč Run 2026

Ledeč Run starts and finishes at Ledeč Castle in Ledeč nad Sázavou, a town in the Vysočina Highlands. It is an amateur running event offering a short route of about 7 km and a longer 13 km option. The start is usually late morning, following on-site registration. The race originated after local runners recognized the area around Ledeč offered good running routes, and the town lacked its own dedicated race. The course utilizes the hilly terrain surrounding Ledeč, so participants should anticipate climbing shortly after the start. The longer route includes approximately 300 metres of elevation gain, while the shorter route has about 150 metres. Both distances provide more than a flat road run. Men and women compete in both distances. Drinks and fruit are available at the finish area, and timing is managed simply without chips. The organizers identify as amateurs who run for enjoyment, aligning with the event's small-town, runner-created character.
