Ultramaraton Zapomenuté hory starts and finishes at Tábor v Račím údolí in the Jeseník District of the Olomouc Region, near the Czech-Polish border. It is an autumn trail race in the Rychleby Mountains, offering three distances: 76 km, 46 km, and 26 km. The name translates to “Forgotten Mountains,” and the organizers emphasize this theme by designing routes through quiet valleys, old mountain meadows, remote ridges, and areas that feel distant from the more frequented Czech trail running circuit.
The short course remains within the Czech Republic, featuring a narrow border path and a sample of the region’s less-traveled terrain. The 46 km and 76 km routes extend into Poland’s Bialskie Mountains, with the longer distances ascending to higher, more remote areas. The 76 km course provides a comprehensive exploration of the Rychleby range for dedicated runners. Having reached at least its seventh edition, the race weekend also includes an evening program with presentations and activities, extending beyond just the start and finish.
