The Ramsthaler Wein-Berg-Lauf sends runners into the wine hills of Ramsthal, a village in Bavaria’s Lower Franconia region, each October. It is a trail race series run by SV Ramsthal, with events for small children, school-age runners, teenagers, hobby runners, active club runners, and walkers. The main adult options include vineyard mountain runs around 10 km and longer trail distances, while shorter races cover distances from a Bambini dash to student and youth courses.
The start and event base are at the SV Ramsthal sports facility, then the routes head out through the vineyards around the village. The event maintains a strong club-race feel: the athletics department manages it, the field includes local categories from Unterfranken, Rhön-Saale, and North Bavaria, and walkers get their own vineyard route. Its numbered editions show a race with continuity, but the appeal is simple: different distances, real climbs, wine-country paths, and a village sports club running the day.
