Volkslauf Lauftreff Pfohren is a local running event held at the Pfohren community and festival hall, providing a central location for the start, finish, changing rooms, and showers. The main race is a DLV-measured 10 km, offering participants an official 10,000-meter course instead of an approximate village loop. The event also includes options for families and non-runners: a free 400 m Bambini run, 800 m races for U10 and U12 school children, a 1600 m youth race for U14 and U16 runners, and an approximately 8 km walking and Nordic walking option.
The 10 km route primarily follows paved agricultural paths surrounding Pfohren, presenting a countryside race that avoids rough trails. Lauftreff Pfohren organizes the event, with awards presented in the hall after the main race. Prizes are given to leading finishers in age categories, along with daily rankings, challenge trophies, and special awards, including one for breaking the course record. A challenge trophy becomes the winner's property after three victories, regardless of the order.
