The Dreikirchener systemceram Triathlon, a sprint-distance race held in June in Dreikirchen, Rheinland-Pfalz, is organized by SC Alemannia Dreikirchen. The event begins at the Hundsangen swimming pool with a short format: 300 meters swimming, 21.8 kilometers cycling, and 5.18 kilometers running. Those wishing to bypass the swim may opt for the duathlon, which includes a 1,000-meter run prior to the standard bike and final run legs. Relay teams are also accommodated, allowing three individuals to divide the swim, bike, and run segments.
The race caters to a diverse range of participants, including casual starters, club racers, performance-oriented athletes, solo competitors, and relay teams. Competitors must be at least 16 years old, and start groups are limited to 15 individuals or 15 relay teams per wave. The point-to-point logistics are managed by the organizer, who provides participants with a race number, a clothing-drop bag, and stickers for their bike and helmet, while also transporting personal bags from the Hundsangen pool to the Dreikirchen transition zone. With over two decades of history, the event is locally characterized as both sporty and familiar, fostering a sense of community and mutual support.
