Erftflitzerlauf is a summer community running event held in Neuss-Holzheim, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is organized by Holzheimer Sportgemeinschaft 1920 e.V., with the start and finish located at the Johann-Dahmen-Sportanlage on Reuschenberger Straße. The program caters to a wide local audience, offering a 10 km race for adults, a 5 km race for juniors, and shorter races for schoolchildren and bambini.
The event evolved from an earlier race and mascot known as Dauerläufer, adopting the Erftflitzerlauf name in the early 1990s. Its character leans more towards a family sports day than intense road racing, emphasizing summer running enjoyment, child-friendly races, and entertaining aspects. The shared start-finish area at the sports ground contributes to a club-organized atmosphere, with all participants, from adults to very young runners, using the same central point.
