The Oelder Crosslauf is a hill-and-cross-country running event held in Oelde-Stromberg, with the race base located at Am Hang 20. This is not a flat road race; the route incorporates paved forest tracks and mulched meadow sections. Organizers suggest using spikes, particularly if winter weather conditions make the ground slick.
The course challenges runners with steep climbs followed by fast, secured downhill stretches. Snow can make the terrain even more demanding. The event includes more than just the main cross-country race, offering Bambini, children’s, and youth runs to involve families and junior athletes. LV Oelde is the organizing body and provides training plans tailored to various performance objectives.
