47. Ratinger Neujahrslauf 2027

The Ratinger Neujahrslauf is a New Year's Day running event in Ratingen, organized by ASC Ratingen West. It takes place on the first Sunday of the new year, drawing up to 2,000 participants across five races held in and around the historic city center. Distances are available for Bambini, school students, and adults. The course is a circuit around Ratingen’s market square, keeping the race within the old town rather than venturing into the countryside. The youngest participants have a 500-meter Bambini run, and ASC assists children from local daycare centers in preparing for this event. Student races award prizes to the school with the highest number of participants, emphasizing school participation. Adults can select either a 5 km or the main 10 km race, attracting competitive athletes, recreational runners, and seniors to the same New Year's field.
