7. Rodenbacher Lauftag

Rodenbacher Lauftag combines a 50 km Harry Arndt run, a half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, and children's stadium races on a single autumn race day at Waldstadion Niederrodenbach in Rodenbach. Its full name is “Run for Peace and Democracy in Europe,” and it also serves as a BBF Junior Main-Lauf-Cup race. The day begins with the half marathon, followed shortly by the 50 km and 5 km races, with the children's stadium run, stadium cross races, and 10 km scheduled for the afternoon. Entry fees are reasonable, with student races costing 5 euros and the half marathon 15 euros, and on-site registration is available on race day. The main course is flat, asphalted, officially measured to IAAF standards, and runs through the Rodenbach forest, making it suitable for runners aiming for fast times or using it as autumn marathon preparation. A German M15 record over 5 km was set on this course, indicating its speed. The 5 km route features a stadium passage near the finish, allowing spectators and supporters a clear view of the race's progression. The youngest participants will compete in a stadium cross with obstacles, all finishers receive a special certificate, and many awards are distributed on site. SSC Hanau-Rodenbach, with nearly 50 years of road-race organizing experience, presents the event under the motto: “From runners for runners.”
