Bergwitztriathlon 2026

The Bergtriathlon in Bergwitz is a sprint-distance event that also serves as the Saxony-Anhalt State Championship for the main individual race. This, the 32nd edition, features a 750 m swim, a 23 km bike course, and a 5 km run. The sprint race begins at 10:00, concurrently with the relay and Fräulein Triathlon events. The sprint race is open to participants aged 16 and older. The relay event, also covering the same swim-bike-run distances, is open to those 14 and older. Relay teams must consist of at least two members, and a single individual cannot participate in multiple legs. Standard road traffic regulations apply to the cycling portion; helmets are mandatory, and drafting is prohibited. Athletes possessing a DTU Startpass may compete in the general sprint rankings. However, only Startpass holders affiliated with the Triathlon Association of Saxony-Anhalt are eligible for the state championship. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers overall, as well as to the male and female state champions.
