Firmenstaffel Magdeburg

Firmenstaffel Magdeburg is a company relay race held in Elbauenpark, Magdeburg, each July. It is a 5 x 3 km event where each of the five team members runs one short leg. Over 500 companies and institutions can register, with 1,000 team spots available. Typically, between 3,001 and 5,000 participants attend. This event, part of the local race calendar since 2009, is one of Saxony-Anhalt's largest running events. The course is contained within Elbauenpark, featuring kilometer markers, route bands, and a refreshment station at the finish. Teams compete in Women, Men, Mixed, and Sprint categories. The Sprint category is for companies not exclusively fielding permanent employees. The event is designed as an office outing as much as a competition, offering bookable team meeting areas, catering options, adult finisher medals, online certificates, an awards ceremony, and a party tent for an after-run gathering. Since 2020, the series includes Firmenstaffel DIGITAL, a nationwide digital format connected to the Magdeburg event.
