Fleesenseelauf begins at the beach in Untergöhren, next to Fleesensee, directing runners from the lakefront into Göhren-Lebbin. The event takes place annually in May and September, offering a half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, team competition, a 1.1 km student run, and a 100 m Bambini run. The 5 km race is also known as the Fitnesslauf or Mannschaftslauf, the 10 km is named the Fleesenseelauf, and the half marathon is designated the Fleensee Halbmarathon.
The shorter courses pass Hotel Fleesensee Resort & SPA shortly after the start, then diverge near the edge of Untergöhren. The 5 km loop crosses the golf course towards Schlosspark Göhren-Lebbin, turns at the park entrance, and returns via a forest path and the Seeweg to the beach. The 10 km consists of two loops, and the half marathon covers 21.1 km on the same counter-clockwise course layout. Arrows, signs, and marshals indicate the route, though sections remain accessible to other guests, meaning participants might encounter cyclists or pedestrians on the lake path.
